Default 425 size blades that will fit x5 grips, 12mm thick

I edited this because I found the blades,
they are for 500call helis's but are 425mm
they have a 4mm hole and 12mm root(thickness at blade. Grips).
heliartist makes them and align, if you know of any please post

err.. well I think X5 grips are the same (basically) as the 425 / 550 CNC grips.

For my 425 with CNC grips I use either the Gaui 425 blades or the Z-weave ones you can get from Hobbycity (basically what used to be called RCP 2s). http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=6592
Note that they come with spacer shims.. I think they are 10mm at the root (like most 425 blades) so you need two of the shims, one above and one below the root of the blade.
Now I THINK these have a 3mm hole.. my Hurri 425 came with 3mm blade bolts and some sleeves to slide onto the bolts where they pass thru the blade grips. Fiddly as heck to install the first time you do it but wokrs very well. So the fitting of the blades involves 2 shims and two bolt sleeves on each blade. Incidentally you need to use exactly the same hardware when using the Gaui 425mm CF blades.

Default pics to help explain

ok the blade grips have a 12mm opening with a 4mm hole
the blades are 10mm thick and have a 3 mm hole

the spacers are only .43mm thick, they need to be 1mm thick to work

gau 425 blade grips do have 10mm opening and 3mm hole, i am not using them
i am using x5 grips

I'm obviously missing something here - why don't you just use the 425 / 550 CNC head ?

Can you show a pic of that? One up 2 down?
doesn't make sense, I could not physically fit 2 spacers down, with the 3 to 4mm adapters.
do you mean use the gaui adapters, and add a space with no collar?

Really I solved the problem that I created, by using the x5 head on a 425,
im machining custom billet spacers with the collar buit in, it will not be round but oval so the blade grip has more ehh,, grip
ill post pics as soon as im done,
and then I might make a few extra in case someone has a similar setup and wants to use 425mm blades in a 500 size head.

err... I'm struggling to understand the issue here. I guess the X5 head is radically different?

Hurri 500 and 425 Alu blade grips are identical. The only modification is that the 425 blades are typically thinner (between 9 and 10mm usually) AND that the hole in the 425 blades is smaller.
So..
- There are shims available (that fit above and below the blade in the grips) to 'pad' the difference between the 12mm gap on the alu grips and whatever the thickness of the blade root is.
- AND there are spacers that slide onto a 3mm bolt to fit the 4mm hole in the blade grips.Again 2 required per blade grip - one on top, one below.

Soooo.. what's different with the X5 grips?

Im using the x5 head by choice,
it is more solid/rigid
in my opinion
for flybarless I think it should be as rigid as possible.
and with all due respect, im asking about shims for the x5 head
not which head to use.
but thanks for your response

Im anxious to see those shims too. I was talking about the spacers that come with the woodies, thinking maybe 1 on top of the blade, and two on the bottom would fill up the gap you had. sounds like your shim idea is more sano.

and +1 on the X5 head by choice, Thats what I have on my 550 nobar and it is working GREAT

my reasons were
1. much tighter tolerances
2. grip arm design (no interference with the head block.
3. 6mm spindle
