Parts - favorite online shops?
Ok, so the tree won.... That's what I get for not having a proper place to fly
Was doing very well doing passes in the corridor that was clear, but on that last flight a long straggely branch snagged my bird, and blam. Time to snag up some parts, blade grip main gear servo gears (2 sets will buy extras too.) Swash to grip link Should probably grab another set of lynx mains, and some servo arms / rods, and ball links, and other misc screws... maybe do the OWB kit now.... maybe not due to budget... What are some decent sites with cheap / free shipping that are not hong kong slow for our birds? I am probably going to go with plastic parts again since they are cheap now (and if they break they save something more expensive later too) Have shopped at amain, and helidirect, and I try to grab on amazon when the price is within price+shipping elsewhere because I love that 2 day prime... Also should I get metal gears for my servos since 2 of them are now ratchety? Does this increase repair costs down the road, or should I keep throwing plastics in? |

I typically order stock and upgrade parts from Helidirect.com or Amain.com if my LHS doesn't have it or their prices are well above what I can get them online. But tmkarc1hobby.com is a good resource for good prices on upgrade parts, especially Lynx. Another one I've used with good service is experiencerc.com
Every time I come across a new site that doesn't totally suck I add it to my blog. It's a fairly complete list of all the reputable sites out there right now. I try to limit it to those in the US unless they offer unique products or outstanding customer service. If anyone knows of any others I've missed definitely let me know. My blog of Online Heli/Hobby Dealers

I order most of my parts directly from Lynx. Shipping is free from Vietnam I believe (brain isn't working right now) if the order is over $100.it is shipped via UPS 3-day and it does arrive in 3-days. If the order is less than $100 shipping is $15 I believe. I usually wait until I have accumulated the need for an order over $100.
For smaller orders, I usually use amain.com |

If you want just OEM parts, I am pretty sure these guys are the cheapest. I normally need some aftermarket (ie Lynx) goodies too so I typically end up ordering from helidirect or amain.

Hands down, best customer service, great prices, free priority mail shipping over $100 and he can get you almost anything you want that he doesn't stock.
