I guess I could get a spektrum module for my 10C but that's a far too big radio for such a small heli :p

With this heli you have to go EASY on the collective or the tail will blow out. So when flipping, etc you have to do it slower than on a larger heli.

on my Mcpx my boom is flexing cause of a crack so i was thinking of CAing the boom back together and putting a drop on the main gear due to it slipping down and causeing me to loose pitch. does anyone have any though on this or comments that way i can do it safe and better.

I dont think ca on main gear is a good idea as it is intended to cone apart on impact.

Perhaps consider some tape around the shaft then place gear over it to provide friction but still come apart when the situation arises.

Yes go easy on the collective and try to be as neutral a pitch as possible during the transition and ease the collective back again. It takes finesse and ultimately will improve your flying on all other helis when you master it.

My brother-in-law flew his mcp-x at our fun fly today in 18 to 20 mph winds. There were also about 4 other people flying theirs later in the afternoon. I would not have believed it was possible with this little heli if I wouldn't have seen it with my own 2 eyes.

Question

Can anyone tell me how to view the Finless vids on a mac? When I right click on the link I don't have the option to "save target as". I've tried simply clicking each link but once the video has downloaded I only get the video code. I REALLY want to view these, can anyone help me out? I've tried everything.

There is software out there that will play WMV (Microsoft Windows Media) on a MAC. I forget the name of it but I believe it is free. Do a google search for wmv on a Mac

Default Thanks Bob!

Just wanted to say thankyou to Bob for the videos.
I downloaded the videos a while back but had to wait till the new bunch came in from Horizon.
Did the hot glue deal on the links fork and found out the transmitter was not bound correctly(my normal 2.4 is an Aurora 9). Would not have known if it wasn't for the vids!!

Default Thanks.

I've been flailing around with my first CP heli, mCPX, and today I found your videos and watched a few. Before I get buried in more videos and forget, I'd like to say: Thanks, Bob!

Default Battery install

Hi Bob,
Great vids, thanks!
Question on battery install-- are you sure about having the battery stop with the plastic "tabs" on the lipo? I'm able to give them a little pinch and they slide right in so the battery is "flush" to the main plastic header piece-- seems to enable a nice tight grip.

Thanks,
Chief

All of us (in my area) have removed the tabs to slide the battery back farther to balance the heli... MUCH BETTER!
