Looking for red / yellow canopy due to fading. See pic.

I can’t believe how much my 700XX canopy has faded!

My buddy bought a 480XX and noted how much darker his canopy looked vs. my 700XX. BIG difference in the air.

I opened my only spare to compare and this is how much it has faded:



MikadoUSA does not list this color any more and Mikado.de has been out of stock for months. Out of desperation, I placed and order from a European shop which showed stock, but they canceled the order because it was actually not available.

Can anyone with Mikado confirm if this will be made again? ETA?

Does anyone have a spare they’re willing to part with now that the new 700 is out?

I LOVE this original color scheme and would appreciate any help in locating another LOGO 700 XXtreme, neon red /neon yellow canopy Item no.: 04645

I really like my Mikado helis, but parts supply has always been an issue and I’ve had more downtime than I care to remember over the years waiting for a needed part.

I really hope that Mikado continues to support the 700XX owners!

I contacted Mikado about the red/yellow canopy-they can still get them from Germany-just email the request and they can get it for the same price as the one on the Mikadousa site..god I hope they keep supporting it-I just purchased a NIB combo I am building now...Hope this helps

Hi Marke, thank you for the encouraging reply. I contacted Mikadousa.com and they said that it could not be ordered.
Would you please let me know who you communicated with who said that it could be ordered?

Department: Sales Assistance
Subject: 700 xxtreme yellow/red canopy

Well, I got a different reply from MikadoUSA:

Hi Robert, I can special order it only if it is in stock in Germany. At the moment it is out of stock. Do me a favor, check their website weekly, and if you see it "in stock", let me know immediately and I will special order it for you Cheers, Gorgin

So I tried Mikado.de again and they had one slightly damaged one which they sold to me at a discount. I appreciate their help in getting this canopy, but am still concerned about parts support for the 700XX.

I would like to keep my 700xx in the air and with the Orange/Yellow canopy. Mine is starting to fade too. I'm wondering what is going to happen when all the other colour schemes sell out. will there be no more canopies available ever?

I feel everyone's pain-I haven't even spooled mine up yet-and I have so many reservations now on the support Mikado will be giving to this Heli--I can see the day they stop making the main gear and drive gears-then my very expensive heli will truly be a shelf queen. Or end up on Ebay. I don't own a miniature aircraft heli --but look what happened a few years ago--here today gone tomorrow-then back again--I did talk to Ron at Mikado and he assured me this heli will be supported--you still have to buy all the parts of the 1mm frame for about 385.00 if you break it, but can repair it when it goes in--But boy if its not supported I don't think this will fair well for Mikado..There are a lot of other brands that are doing some amazing things. they will need to keep there loyal customers or people will go else where-it only takes one small bad feeling to get people to switch.. I really hope they listen to there fan base and support us... well big business its a funny thing..just my 2 cents..I guess the Business plan is your heli is 3 years old time to Buy the newest one and throw your very very old 3 to 4 year heli out that you love so much...LOL

I managed to buy the last one from Moadellbau Brakel in Germany and it arrived yesterday. World of Heli are showing a small quantity in stock. If ordering from outside Europe you should get it 19% cheaper.

The 800xx is not yet discontinued (at least it's still selling on the mikado.de website) so the 175T main gear should be around for a while longer.
