I take it that the central section is still to be cut out so this board will go over the square plastic centre part of the fuse - like your original photo?

My point is that a fuse should be treated like a crash part that can be easily broken and there should be some availability for it. In this case it is flimsey enough that it
is more likely to break in a crash than failing as it was designed. A fuse is supposed to be easily replaced, but you need to be able to order one somewhere to do this. So I would really like to find a source for replacement fuses.

------ My overall impression is that the design of the KOSMIK moved somewhat neglected in consideration of two things: - mechanical, construction elements (--> vibration, etc.) - Thermal concerning elements of soft plastic that change unfavorably upon heating, - spacers etc in KOSMIK, the fuse (It would certainly have helped to upfront read the specs and to talk to Littlefuse. OK, that did Linus now.). And, btw: One of the aluminum plates is useless to thermal factors, - no thermal connection, as well as no shielding by that plate. Why the hell is the middle part made of plastic?! ...OK, also the mechanical design is only Kontroniks thing. I have not said anything..

Many of us have bent our Fuses quite a bit, I would prefer to start with a fresh unbent fuse.
I think selling the boards with a spare fuse as a set would be a great idea too.
