It could be the blades, mentioning that made me think that one blade has a lil bigger root than the other and is quite tight in the grip. Maybe just grind away a small bit? I'm not at home but if my memory serves me right my ail and ele are at 60% and collec mix at 45 or 43. I certainly don't think the SK is causing the behavior. It is something mechanical. I'll have another chance for test on Friday.

How "perfect" does SK need to be?
Are both blades the same weight? Also worth mentioning your dampers. Which ones are you using. And have you made sure everything is free to move. Plenty of white silicon grease around the feather shaft worked into the dampers helps loads.

The dampers are the stock black that came in the X5. I have kbdd green on order, just not here yet, along with that is a set of edge 523s so I'll certainly try those out and see if I get a different result. I used exactly what you just said with the white silicone grease. I really think k it may just be that one blade that is quite tight in the grip. I'll see if I can figure out where its thick and just shave a hair off the root. That shouldn't cause any problems, right? And yep, both blades weighed in at 85.5g. I'm just happy it flew and didn't disintegrate

=] good to hear the SK angels did their work on the maiden, you really have to see to that stiff blade as a first priority, no logging yet for the 540........

That's a bummer, it'd be great if it had logging. But I'll bet the issue is just something small. The one root is probably 1/2 mm thicker than the other. Weights are the same but one is just thicker. So I'll sand down a bit and see what that does. One adjustment at a time until I have it nailed! Back on the road again!

So, I took down the root a bit and it is much smoother. I decided to take it out, had a good hover for about 30 sec, a lil tail wag but not the shakes like before, figured I'd gain a lil altitude, maybe 10m and all of a sudden it just starts spinning nose left. Caught me off guard for sure but I managed to bring it down a bit and hit TH, landing it safely on the skids, whew!!! Upon inspection, the grub screws that hold the tail hub to the shaft, came unscrewed. I had used locktite, but I guess it didn't hold so I'm going to secure those with red locktite and check all the other screws again. I still have yet to check and ensure the shaft is straight along with feathering shaft but I'm pretty darn sure everything is okay, that was a bit earlier than I planned for autos... Now I'll have to wait and see if my tail wag was due to loose screws or just some adjusting! I'm just glad that I brought it down on the skids

Good catch. Did you clean the threads with thinners or acetone? They usually have machining oil on them and not all thread lock works on oil. I've not had one come out yet with just blue.

I cleaned all the screws prior. I think I didn't shake the bottle so it didn't mix or something. Re did a bunch of them tonight, if they hold great, if not, I'll get get a new bottle! Just happy it turned out the way it did.
