Nice maiden Rossk.
For a brief moment when i was clicking the link for the video and saw your avatar i thought, ouch, the went wrong...
Not the case here

Zeus, that flight is with yep gov freeweel on 66% throttle.
Flying smooth give longer flight times. And i fly till the 3.4 volts/cell slowdown cutoff starts cutting rpm's on punchier moves, than may fly a min+ of softer flying.

Haha, the avatar is the result of my biggest crash yet, P500 doing ~150kph full speed low pass getting a little too low, lol, more details:

Third flight with the heli tonight. I can't wait to get this thing outside and get her tuned in properly. I apologize in advance for the poor focus. I need to find a decent camera.

How in the hell do you do that at 2:30 - 2:40? I've been trying to learn that for a while now.

It's basically a funnel with less collective to reduce it's speed, more aileron to tighten the diameter, and more rudder to make it spin.....all at the same time. Balancing out those controls will keep it tight and coordinated. Collective is then used to control the altitude of the funnel. Once locked in, you can reduce collective very precisely until it's only inches off the ground. An easy was out of it is to just increase collective so the funnel climbs and then you can work your way out of it.

Nice n Smooth Bob!
That's a nice indoor spot, you can even do some medium loops. But they can get expensive if you widen them just that bit more.

Thanks guys. Yes, I flew the MICROBEAST the last two years on four different helis. The Vortex on default settings felt like the MB on the Sport preset flight behavior, with the exception of the tail, which had a higher piro rate to start out with.

Great vid!

LOL!!! I'm not "that" skilled. The Vortex was nice for sure, but so was the MB when I set it up for the first time on the Sport setting. The Vortex defaults felt very similar to the MB on Sport.

The tick-tocks were difficult to manage due to the default settings being fairly soft. I need to increase lots of things in the Vortex Rotor menu in order to make it quicker and more crisp, lock in the cyclic, etc. In it's default state, the heli is a pleasure to fly for smooth 3D.

Nice flying last night Bob. I was impressed. Brand new heli with a new fbl unit and your doing inverted funnels a few feet off the ground.
