Default My new Zap/shogun 400's first few flights - Success!!!

Here is my new zap.

Zap 400
Himax 2025-4200
CC PH25 Esc
3 X JR Naro servos
1 X HS50 tail servo
JR 700 7 ch Receiver
Align/telebee dual rate (HH/standard) Gyro
Sanwa RD6000 Radio
2200mah 3S1P Lipo
1250mah 3S1P Lipo

Only had 4 test flights but my first impressions (coming from a heavily modified hummingbird) are that this machine is very stable and seems to have nice flight characteristics. My only real problems at the moment is the slop in the tail pitch slider, meaning I can only get my gyro gain very low to stop the tail wagging (HH is worse). Think that will be my first mod/upgrade. Also, im running a 9T pinion, and the motor seems to be getting quite hot. after only about 5 minutes, i can only hold my finger on the motor for about 5 seconds. I have ordered an 8T pinion, so ill see how that performs.

Wayne.
