Yeah, one of the reasons I'm really slow on the Goblin 380 is that it is more like a "500" than a "450". $1200 for a 450? That's insane, I have 600's that can be had for that much.

I have a decent "450" fleet and really enjoy that size bird, for it's low costs and fun to fly factor (and the mini Protos is on top of that list!). I have Goblin 630 already, a 500-size doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah I can't believe the esc's some guys are planning for their 380s, like edge 100, Talon 90, yge 90. I mean the Protos 500 uses yge 60a and 95% of people don't have problems with them overheating.

It'll be interesting to see some all up weights of the 380. I'd be willing to bet you could put 380 blades on a stock (short boom) Protos 500 with a 2200mah 6s and be the same weight as what some of these 380s will weigh.

I have a feeling you're right

You can easily stretch the chase 360 or the x3 to swing 380s as well. A stretched 360 or an x3 will be much lighter, and can probably run the same head speeds and have similar power. I am confused as to what need the goblin is supposed to fulfill. I guess it is brutally powerful, but its just sooo heavy...It sounds like the goblin 630 story all over again.

Sounds like something I would love to do to my Mini P. I could make boom supports, tail control rod, maybe the boom but I wouldn't know where to look for a belt.
