Default R4i UDI Plugin

I have fried a R3 before by plugging UDI into the wrong port, so I'm asking for guidance. I was told to plug into the "BIND" port and not the #3 port as with the R3. Is this correct? This is my first R4i..... I have separated the white signal wire to go to pin #5 (middle) on the uiKon with the + and - wires going to which servo plug for power? Was also told there could be mismarking of the receiver ports, oh boy, any truth to that?

Sorry guys, I just don't want to smell smoke on this one, any help would be appreciated

Connecting a UDI signal cable to the wrong port should not cause any damage at all.

You would have killed your receiver whichever port you plugged it into - it sounds like you have incorrect placement of the individual voltage/ground/signal wires...

I'm using port 3 / Bind for my udi on my R4L, the jeti tells me the udi pin is Y4 which it is not.
