Default DX6I vs STOCK TRANSMITTER

Is there a huge difference in the DX6I and the stock transmitter ? Is it worth the purchase ? Where's the cheapest place to buy one ? Will it help the TB effect or is that all in the helicopter set up ?

It;'s like comparing a tricycle to a Cadillac. By all means get one if you can afford too.

Much better stick resolution. Prices are usually fairly consistent, within $10 or so.

We use mode 2 In the US.

TB effect is a heli setup problem, not affected by the transmitter. However, having better precise control will make it easier to tame slight TBE with stick inputs.

Might be a stupid question, can you use the DX6i for aeroplanes as well as helicopters? I have a few park-flyer stick-and-tissue kits lying around for planes, I wouldn't mind being able to control them with the same transmitter as my helicopter.

I run mine on a dx9 along with my other birds. Just a basic heli model with no changes.

Yes, the DX6i has heli and acro modes, so you can fly planes heli's or quads, as long as you have Spektrum Rx's

In just one out door flight, without even loading the specs in the ''settings thread'', this TX it makes a world of difference. Doesn't just want to just spinout and the pendulum effect is way easier to manage. Best thing I ever did. Going to change out the grips, blades, swash, etc.. Pretty much ever thing. Might try the Extreme swash plate too. From learning how to fly and quite a few crashes, I'm sure everything has seen better days. I want to tame the pendulum effect and go have some fun.

I finally got a dx6i with my 450x this year. I use it with my msr, nano qx, mqx and of course the 450x. I used the stock tx that came with the msr for my quads also. I cannot believe the difference its like night and day. You will love the dx6i makes them handle and fly so nice.
