Pretty Darn Cool TDMModels!

Have you heard of anyone or a company making a Bell 222 or Airwolf Scale body for a 300 Sized Heli? Just curious...

Here's mine:

Club handed it (I have a cast on my hand!) righ into the dirt at full speed. That CF blade was dug in pretty tight! Not bad on he damage, all servos survived.
Broke: AR guide, blades, main gear, feather/main shaft, canopy, tail boom.
I think that's it. Wish i had the Xtreme blades on at the time!

Only thing that sucks is tryin to wrench on it with a cast on my hand. It's going to take a little while to fix. 15 more days till it's off!

Man, that canopy is shredded!!

I highly advise to line the inside of the canopy with duct-tape or some other 'rubbery' substance. I have about 20 crashes (a couple head-on, and only a couple minor cracks in mine!

BTW, good luck with you cast hand

I just picked up a 300X, what's the advantage of have the arbx on top? I think it looks cleaner underneath.

It's just more conventional and easier to change settings and observe status.
My other 300X is pure stock and of course works perfectly, I just had to see what was involved to put it where it belongs in my opinion. Easy access to the unit is a big plus when playing with parameters etc.

I personally don't feel a difference in flight, but since this is my first BX, I put it on the boom mount because it was beginning to become a real pain to keep flipping the heli upside down after everytime I changed a set-up point! It was also difficult to see which letter of the set-up I was actually at...

I actually like how it looks up top as well...looks more like a 'pro' heli to me

fyi - I have crashed many times and its still strongly held in place

Cool, I understand. I've had the arbx in my 550 and 700s and have never really had to change anything after setup.

Also, is the swash direction really reversed in this bird? Ie, positive pitch the swash goes down etc.

Sorry for hijacking, I'll start posting some pics of mine soon!

Demon, yes the swash is reversed due to trailing edge grips...

Some shots from today. Having fun with this little bird. Feel I could use some more power, need to look into aftermarket motors!

And some grass stains

GO BIG OR GO HOME...

Now I just gotta get some shorter servo arms and increase the pitch travel.

The scorpion motor actually fits under the canopy, but I modified the canopy to allow just a bit more air to pass over it. Waiting on a new canopy to come in...
