Default 8t pinion with 16600KV motor?

Would there be any benefit to have an 8t pinion with the 16600KV motor or would it bog the motor. I am using 300mah 45c-90c nanotech mcpx batteries so right now it is very hard to bog the motor.

I would also like to use 89mm or 95mm blades, more bog?

Also going to use a 7mm tail motor with 42mm blades and a 2mm x 125mm boom to solve TBO.

Thanks,
Jason

You're probably going to wind up with a headspeed in the 6800-7000 rpm range with an 8T. Bear in mind, with a direct drive tail, the higher the headspeed, the tougher it's going to be to control tail blowout. That 7mm motor will probably do it, but it's probably going to seriously unbalance your Nano swinging on the end of a 125mm boom. 95mm blades will make the heli fly a little "bigger", but they will tend to bog the motor a bit more as well.

I may shorten the tail boom to 115mm but with 8 gram batteries I am not sure that I will have to. I am wondering where the cog is on a stock nano. Should it be at the canopy pins? I mean if you hold the nano by the top canopy pins, does it balance?

I could also turn the head speed down with the governor if it is too fast and that does help with tbo.

Thanks

COG should be taken from the center of the main shaft since that is what the heli fly's from.
