Xp 7a+hp05
What should the esc settings be for the hp05? Just tried it today and it feels like so much less power than my helimax/walkera motor just wondering if I have to change something in the esc to get full power. Or is it just the way this motor is.

May be it is the converter not giving 100% throttle.
What converter do you use?

The stock XP-7A settings should work fine.
What pinion are you running? 8T seems to be the best for flight time vs power vs bog. Try 22AWG wires directly to the ESC and then 26AWG stock from ESC to the main board. Micro Deans will give a little better power also. Direct solder all power connections also. YMMV, Don |

It came with 9t, I'll double check the wiring maybe it came loose or something when I installed it in the frame

Yeah, the hp05 should have considerably more power.

I think i figured it out. it was a combination of things, red wire to the esc wasn't making contact good enough. and the main shaft was slipping because i didn't cut the flat part enough when i changed over to the new rakon frame. Tached it in my hand it was like 5900 rpm
Or something crazy like that |
