If im using an external (hercules bec) with jive 120hv, i know i need to remove the middle red wire. My question is do i still need to use both slave and master bec cable coming from the jive to my external receiver or fbl unit? Or just run one cable - master?

Ive always run both cable since ive always used the jives internal bec. Not sure if the second slave cable one is necessary?

If you are not using the BEC, then you do not need to run both leads. The reason for using both leads is to "share" the power needs of the servos/rx from the BEC.
