the blades are homemade.
In the rotor blade 48 RGB LEDs are installed. Among them is the control with a lipo cell.
The next control has USB and a Micro CD Card.
With a PC program i can load BMP Images into the control.

Unfortunately I can not find a blade manufacturer wants to produce the

I would love to make something like this but My software ability is slightly less than none. The hardware I can handle.

First, I have milled the holes with the cnc machine.

Then very carefully the blades in the upper shell and bottom shell separated. The CFK may in no case breaking.

One must remember that it is not safe to fly with. Therefore, one must make the extremely careful.

Do not fly 3D with that blade.

to be correct, these blade in the vid are mine.
Werner is the one who developed the electronics, and yes, he has his own blades as well.

Some words about "mechanical manufacturing":
Starting to think about and calculate the forces resulting in the different parts of the helo you may have some doubts for sure... Me too.
As the weight of the blades increases significantly the load factors decrease to slightly above 1,0. -> No spectacular 3D flying. But I think this doesn't matter as the pictures would loose effect by that anyway.

The first blades were wooden, for ground test only, as you can't check the system without rotation, but not to be flown.
As you can fly GFRP blades, CFRP blades should have enough safety margin for these manipulations but also stay ridig enough.
We took commercial blades and separated upper and lower shell. These seemed to be glued in cured conditions, so no loss of strength was expected by the step of relamination. The upper shell is perforated to make the LEDs visible, but the main stringer of the shell wasn't touched. Gaps inside the blade were foamed with PUR. In a last step the shells were put together again with high quality epoxy on a milled jig.

That's no fun, take's a lot of time, but it's only way that makes sense for low number of blades and due to the fact that Werner and I are using different sizes/blades/helicopters.

That is a lot of work.
Now to find some blade manufacturer that will make them up for you / us.

The blades do need to be capable of 3D just because at some time they will end up with a high G load even though 3D is not being flown.

Coolest blades ever!
Next step could be the ability to load an animated gif file. Then the only thing holding us back would be our imagination.
Are those chips the same type used in LCD screens to control the subpixels?
Perhaps you can find a company that can make an injection molded blade around the led strip along with a CF rod.
