Default $400 Align 700 DFC combo

http://www.diytrade.com/china/pd/114..._KX018E14.html

There is one condition... Minimum order is 10 kits.

It could be scam. It could be discount price for discontinued combo. This one is not HV.

For me it is proof that $1000 for 700 is rediculous no matter what brand.

Actually new Align 700 is not.bad heli.

Interesting.

I am not going to order ten combos. I just wonder what is real cost ex-factory if they profit selling it for $350-$400.

Probably shipment costs are quite big for such quantity. Taxes also would be high.

That partially explains why price we see in online shop is around $1500.

I am still looking for reasons why naked kits of 700 helis cost around 1 grand. It seems rediculous.

I build many 700 helis much cheaper.

Looks like a big scam.
Email Align and ask if its one of their distributors I bet they have never heard of them.
Also you could check there site to see if it has paypal.
I wouldn't trust too many websites from china selling branded stuff.

Looks like a wholesaler site (business to business trade).

http://www.scamadviser.com/check-web...w.diytrade.com reports the site is most likely legitimate.

Feel like opening up a hobby distribution business? (and handling all the shipping logistics, freight onboarding, customs, tariffs, etc...)

DS655 in KX018E14 are not HV.

I am really curious what is real ex-factory price of discontinued Align 700 combos.

They don't seem to be on Align's Distributors list.
Looks more like a scammer from China that will send you some fake products.

I'm not an RC supply store, but you could always try the contact details:

Quote:
Company Name: Major Voxxal RC Ltd
Country/Region: Singapore
Company Address: #34-45 Anson Road, North Brigde, Kampong Bahru, Singapore
Zip/Postal code: 78865
Phone: 65-887-6887909
Fax: 65-887-6887908
Contact Person: Lilian Stephy Shu (Manager)
Mobile: 6887601
Website: http://majorvoxxalrc.diytrade.com
Industry: Toys
Business Nature: Trading Company
Scammers usually don't release this much information Scammers also usually only do singles of product and do not target commercial quantities of hobby supplies.

Who knows how many middle-men are in the Align supply chain?

I got a reply:

Dear Mr. matt

Thank you for your inquiry
the price for 1 unit US$400.00
and since we have minimum order you need to make at least 2-3 units for order
and the shipping charge, insurance and also the tax US$56.00/unit
we use bank wire transfer for payment

please let me know if you are still interested to order

Regards

------

Only money transfer sounds like a scammer also these combos go for 3/4 times this price. Really

Maybe if they allow PayPal it's worth a try because then you're somehow backed by PayPal.

Reply to her if that's a possibility, don't think so :p

I don't know why you feel it is a scamJUST because of the bank transfer request. When dealing with that part of the world it is common practise to pay for anything ordered via bank transfer. And my dealings are many thousands of dollars. To me all that suggests is they generally don't do retail.
Now that being said, it my or may not be a scam. But you cannot use the criteria of wanting a bank transfer a sole reason. All that tells me is that you are not used to doing business in that part of the world.

How many large wholesalers use PayPal, I would think that bank transfer would be the norm in the corporate world.

Default DIY Trade

DIY Trade hosts ads for other companies, in this case for "Major Voxxal RC Ltd" claiming to be located at: #34-45 Anson Road, North Brigde, Kampong Bahru, Singapore. The ad says the heli was made in Singapore, although Align is in Taiwan, and Major Voxxal is not an authorized distributor. So how/if they obtained the models is in question. It could be an overstock they bought off a retailer, who knows...

Lots things we might consider odd happen over there, like Align making vacuums for Toshiba. It's more likely they started out making parts, graduated to appliances, and someone over there started making parts for the heli industry and things just grew.

Still, you'd be handing your money to an unknown and taking them on good faith. If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't.
