Dry Fluid gear lube

See Jammin is using this on his Triabolo, and that it was tested in a TDR as well. Anybody been using it and what is your verdict?

I'm using it on all of my helis. No dirty canopy from grease splashing around and no other problems.
The whole Henseleit Team is using it and was part of the test crew for the gear lube.
I'm also using the Dryfluid Heli on Tail Sliders, Swashplates and Bearings and the Bike Fluid on the Mountain Bike!
Pretty good stuff, long lasting and worth the money!

Yep, I use it on all new builds and when I have to do something on a heli like the Triabolo I thoroughly clean the gears as needed then apply this stuff. Been using it for a while now.

I think its great. Reduces the amount of dirt and grit it catches so that should mean less wear. Its supposed to be quieter as well but I cant tell tbh but so far so good. Will continue to use it.

It comes with a brush which I assume is to use when applying. I drop some on and brush it so it covers the whole gear evenly.

As above I have the Dryfluid Heli also which I smear everywhere too.

For me it works definately better than triflow synthetic. No mess and little brush to spread a superthin film on the gears. Also use it for the shafts. It doesnt accumulate at the extremity of the sliders, doensnt get sticky and is somewhat easier to clean. I use it already for 6 weeks on the fleet, only positive so far.

Be aware (first hand Info from the guy behind Dryfluid, Rolf):
Gear Lube is ONLY for gears! It has a thicker composition and stays a little sticky sometimes. So its not really good for shafts or bearings, thats what Dryfluid Heli is for. That is a lot thinner and leaves only a very thin layer of particles on the surface.

I would recommend ordering Gear Lub and Heli together and be happy for a long time! Only very small amounts are needed for best results! Esp. the Gear Lube, use only small amounts and if needed apply a sencond layer.

Before applying its recommended to clean the gears with washing gasoline (Waschbenzin) to remove the residue of old lube and other unwanted particles!

This works very well on Goblin which are known to have a main gear heating problem so I would use it for the TDR too. Available a most good bicycle store and dirt repellant too

Since there is no english Version of the Dryfluids Page yet (its in the works) and there might be some issues with Translators translating not correctly: Dryfluid does not bind dust and other particles.

I have inquired about obtaining it here in the USA. Unfortunately with the cost of hazmat shipping, it isn't feasible right now. I will ping Fast-Lad to see if they can get some over to Experience RC in their next shipment.

Yeah, thats what he told me too. And there is no time at the moment to work on a solution for a US Distributor.
Only way would be via mail and hope customs doesnt sort the package out!

I was visiting with someone at IRCHA regarding this comparison and they said it was different. My bicycle race buddies have all kinds of dry lubricants, but from what I heard it is indeed even more special. It also has German in it, so it has to be good! It probably comes from the same factory as German Plastic ( See first 20 seconds...

), German Chocolate Cake and German Steel Rivets. The last one got me good last week. My wife's MB had a window lock go out and the interior door panel is a hydro-formed super steel panel that is attached with some amazingly hard steel rivets that had to be imported to finish the job. I think they went through several drill bits as well getting them out!

That's why you don't want to own a MB after warranty expires....stupidly expensive to repair anything, and I mean anything.

I don't care where the lube is manufactured.
I'll never believe the Germans are the only ones that can make a quality product...TDR's notwithstanding.

True, but I have to say our last two MBs have been bulletproof and this is the only issue we have had with it in 66k miles. Other than scheduled maintenance (oil/air filter changes), $700 in unscheduled maintenance isn't bad for having it five years.

The one before we had from zero miles to 77k and nothing other than brakes and tires... lots of tires
