Default What's your pitch and head speed? 690sx

Hey I got my 690 up and flying again and I am curious what had speeds people are running and how many degrees of pitch. I know Mikado recommends not going over 11° or something like that but it seems like it can handle more. So what is your power system, flying style, head speed and pitch? Thanks in advance.

Also if anyone has had any negative reactions from too high of a head speed or pitch please post that is well.

I'm around 12 degrees collective. It will do almost anything at 1800. 2000 is a lot of fun. Tried 2150. It wasn't that much better than 2000 IMO

I run 13 degrees at 1600 / 1700 and 1900 rpm. Flies great. (Has the updated double owb)

1600 and 1900rpm at 12°; 1340rpm at 11°. Double OWB.
Runs pretty smooth and long flights

So it looks like I can run 2000 with 13.5 and be safe?

I have ran 2K and 13.5º and beat it as hard as I can with zero problems... That doesn't mean it is bulletproof but it has worked for me...

Ditto. The gears and double-stacked OWB seem to be more than up to the task.
