Its a HKIII-4035-500KV (with a 110mm shaft GAUI part# 217351) I swapped my stock HKIII 500kv shaft out with the 110mm gaui one, took all but 10 minutes.

Very simple to do, even easier if you use a drill press. Took me about that long. Just make sure you have the flat spots on the shaft aligned before you press it or you may be pulling it back out again.

Default Broken wires on CC BEC Pro

I see lots of people are using CC BEC Pro. On another forum there are a couple of people ranting on about wires that come loose and cause crashes with that BEC. Anyone heard of it happening, or is it just an isolated incident, or perhaps only a problem with nitro vibrations?

I have had bec pros on 10 or more birds. Never a problem. At least not that problem. I switched my setup on the x7 because of the savox servo issues. That is simply a amperage issue.

Ditch the KBDD tail blades. Trust me, they will not fit very well in the x7 grips due to machining inconsistencies. Edge 105 or Rotortech 105 is the way to go.

I have been using my KBDD extremes on this heli for a couple weeks and they are actually working quite well and move perfect inside the grips. I have edge and rotor techs on my other helis and think they work great.....except when i take off in grass...which is primarily why i went with the KBDD's on my X7. In my part of NJ the ground is full of rock. I broke 3 windows on my house just by mowing the lawn, the first year I owned house. I can go through a set of CF edge tail blades in 2 weeks if i'm not careful. The plastic KBDD have been a life saver.

I fly KBDD as well without problems, they are a perfect fit. I too have a lot of rock around my home, I actually live in a high desert with lots of tumble weeds and sage too. All my heli's sport KBDD blades for flying at home. I do have a set of edge tail blades for the x7 I'll use for better locations.
So far I have been very pleased with KBDD, I'll probably be ordering more soon, just in case...

They all have failures, there are more cc ice owners out there so you hear more of those going up in flames. There is a data sheet somewhere with all the esc's and failures... Maybe in the cc forum.
I have the cc ice 120 and so far I have been very happy with it.

Flight Style: Not even good enough to call it a style
FBL System: Sk540
Motor: Scorpion HKIII 4035-500
Pinion: 10 or 11
Target Headspeed(s): At least 2000
ESC: HW 120HV
Governor: .......
BEC: CC BEC PRO
RX Pack: 2s 2400
Cyclic Servos: DS610
Tail Servo: DS650
Main Blades: Edge 693
Tail Blades: Edge 105

I think i went wrong with the servo's and the esc. I see alot of pilots with 130hv or more. I see a couple with 120hv's. I'm not a good enough pilot to notice the difference in the ds610's and the HV servo's that are out, but in comparison, they seem to be a little weak.
