Default 6HV ==> 6HVU

Bit the bullet and going to make the move.

I had a really rough time getting my 6HV squared away.

I fought a constant tail wag for over a year.

I would wrestle with it and then put it away since I had nice Synergy E5S to fly.

I swore I would get it squared away and then sell it.

Went thru a vbar to Ikon and swapped a pile of tail parts but it just would not go away, then We finally figured out the rudder servo just couldn't find center, MKS BLS 669, once we swapped it out bingo, rock solid tail, maybe the most squared away tail in 6HV land.

So it went into the rotation and I decided I couldn't part with it.

Klaus a Compass Team Pilot kept showing off his 6HVU whenever I ran into him at events and it's all his fault so...

I was going to go with a new bare kit but found a deal here on an airframe and it's on it's way. Gonna pair it with a Vbar Neo and VBC, and move the rest of the stuff off of my 6HV into the new one.

Congratulations on resolving the tail issue (finding the defective servo) and also on getting a 6HV-U!

Outstanding, sir!

Glad to hear you are not going to part with you Compass. I know I couldn't bear to part with any of my Compass helis. If I were to get rid of anything it would be my Align 450 Pros. My Compass helis are my pride and joys.

I hear you Sewerfly...I miss my old original 6HV also. Not enough to seek one out to restore, but it was superior for low head speeds, and seemed to be more of a rocket at high speeds compared to the 6HVU. But, the 6HVU is an all-around better heli, and is more robust. Much nicer looking.

My 6HV partially burnt in a garage fire, so I swapped all the gear, except for the motor, over to the 6HVU. This was two years and many flights ago. As much as I loved the old, I like the U better. Hard to beat-a real workhorse!
