crashy crashy it's basically just a Hisky hcp100s with a different protocol it seems. You can get the Hisky version cheaper about 80 bucks on banggood shipped from the us warehouse, sometime even cheaper with their sales. The assaults whole layout looks the same from what i saw in the pictures.

This might be a better buy depending on the tx you might have . It says it is bnf with dsm2/dsmx protocols so guys with spectrum tx can bind right to it or walkera tx w/ deviation installed with a not included dsm2/dsmx satellite receiver.

I hope they fixed the rudder dead zone the hcp100s is known to have. Some say they don't mind it and others can't stand it.

It's Hi isky protocol. The HCP100s will bind to a Spektrum TX if you add a Spektrum satellite RX to the heli.

The module that Hobbyking supply with it is a rebranded Hisky HT8.

There is a long thread on the HCP100s on regroups.

I have experience with one. It just sits there.

The satelite rec did three different things when turned on:

I might go back to glo-fuel powered heli's.

Default It Works :D

An update, to add info to those who seek it.

Well, the OrangeRx T-Six didn't bind to the Orange 620x & R111xn. My Old DX4e from my Nano CPX bound perfectly, and instantly I might add.

Because it's 4-channel and not 6, the pitch don't work. Fine by me, as I'm not that good a flyer, and fixed pitch helis are easier to fly.

I simply lengthened the swash pushrods to set pitch, and the motor is now a bit tamed, due to it now using it's rpm range to lift off.

The response of the cyclic is a slow with the DX4e (no way to tune servos), so it's tricky to fly. To remedy that, I brazed some piano wire skids (big stable ones unlike them wee stock units).

Being a builder first and user second, I re-built the bird first thing, to make sure it was not a "Friday build". Hard-wiring, tidiness, and use of black silicone gasket sauce, to make my bird loverly.

Anyhoo, check these pics and vid:

More battery choices now, with no limmiting bat holder.

Also added a switch to make using the wee toy easier.

Longer skids help if ya land in swamps too:

I happy.

A DX6 will be orded soon, and the OrangeRx T-Six will be sold off.

Rgds,

Hi Surlyburgar!

Did you check that?
" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>

You may be able to map flat Throttle curve on GEAR or AUX1 to be able to get a real CP Heli

By the way, nice trick to make it FP so you can use it!

Cheers,

Seb

Interesting. Though I don't know how to map anything. The DX4 set up isn't working anymore. It's like the heli is slowly rejecting the radio.

I'll wait to see what the module will do with the Orange TX.

Hisky uses FHSS protocol but the new ones also have a port to plug in a Spektrum Sat. On most things you have to bind the sat to a receiver before you can use it by it's self so you may want to try that before plugging it into the heli's board.

None is a clone: the Assault is a rebrand of the HCP100S
You're true, nobody cares

I have the HCP 100s and I ordered the Assault 100 because it's on sale for $47 at Hobby City US. I will then have the 100s with the X6s transmitter and I will have the Assault 100 with the module to try on my 7c TX.
Too much fun!
