Yea, I don't know my flight times are pretty good yesterday I flew 7:44 at a mix of 1600 and 1800 rpm, taking my packs down to 40%. Practicing actual 3d though, tic toc loops, rolling loops, reversing piro flips and piro tic toks. Granted im flying 14s 5300mah packs . Flying at 2000 and really romping on it I can get 4:30 while I bring the packs to 40%, I could go lower on the packs but Id rather them last a few extra cycles

A couple of things I've noticed now that I've flown it more and have some more experience.

At 1,800 RPM and flying smooth 3D, 5 minutes obtainable.

When flying at 2,000 RPM - moderate to hard 3D - I was able to get 4:30 with just about 20% left in packs.

So, your comments are correct. I do think using the Encore Evo packs are helping, as they are close to 70 grams lighter then other packs available.

Got any videos of that 4:30 hard 3D? I know several Mikado pilots who fly 3 minutes until batts are empty, 3:30 is obtainable but then the packs are like 0%ish.

My experience on forums and watching other pilots fly on youtube is that the definition of hard 3d varies from pilot to pilot.

Also, some pilots will just do a couple of hard 3D moves and then take easy the rest of the flight and get longer flight times than those who fly hard 3D the whole flight.

I don't consider team pilots to be hard 3d but that's just me. There just a whole nother level

Yupp, and some folks I know just do a bunch of TicTocs 30ft up and 100ft away and then fly straight lines from left to right and back and call it "hard 3D", that's why I'd like to see a video of your flying if you claim 4:30 of hard 3D.

My definition of it starts about where Kyle Stacy flies his Goblins, Mirko with his 700s or Tareq from 2012. Everything else is just 3D to me.

I don't even consider myself capable of flying hard 3D, I'd call myself advanced/technical in 3D and still only get 3:30 out of my 690 until the battery is flat.

I also didn't say I was flying hard 3d I said when I am romping on it I can get 4:30 but like I said that's with 14s 5300mah packs... Not 12s 5000's like the other guy that posted his times

Not adressing you actually, rather everyone else who claims 5 minutes of hard 3D on a normal battery (12s 5000ish) was possible

ok guys - my hard 3d is big and smooth with a lot of rolls and flips and funnels, etc. - not like the smack we see at the events.

I got 4:30 min the other day. Why the forums become negative debates is beyond me.

The only thing that bothers me in this thread is the statement that the new 700 is only going to be .8 lbs lighter than my current 700Xxteme. I was hoping for a flying weight under 12 lbs. Well I'm sure it will feel a lot better than the light and fragile 690SX does which proved to me that lower weight isn't always the best answer, as was stated where the weight is can be more important. Still hope it flies like a bigger 480 Xxtreme which to me is the ultimate regarding power to weight ratio.

Mikado says 5.1-5.2 kg. That's below 5.443 kg.

They said it would be around 400 grams lighter but not under 5kg if that helps. The flying weight is going to be really dependent on your setup

Whatever it weighs I am sure it will fly good and I'm sure I'll want to have one. Logos definitely are great helis.

When I hear "Hard 3D" I interchange that with "Smack."

I like the Vbar and my logo 700 Xxtreme but sometimes I can not understand Mikados ways. At least the spare parts are still listed as available. Sadly they removed some cool design canopies for the 700.

I wanted to get a neo vbar but then I learned that it has no BT interface! What shit is that. I love to adjust all my Vbars (5) with my android phone at the field. Does Mikado really belief that I pay hundred's of € for a Vbar control and replace every receiver I have. No way.

Now I can breathe again.
Those wanting the 700 logo should look at the compass 7hv - very similar design - I have both logo & 7hv

Again, the 700xx's issue wasn't necessarily weight.
There are quite a few helis that weigh the same and have more flight time and performance.
The issue is the location of the weight, most of it is rotating mass that the power system has to drive. That is the direct cause of the lack of performance.

I hope the next 700 would have a full belt for the tail. I hate stripping gears on torque tube drive systems. But pretty sure that's not going to happen.

I've honestly never stripped a tail gear, always bend the tt though. That's the only part about a tt that I hate. The dam cost is much higher then a belt.

Well that's the second thing I don't like...
