Jonny, it's totally rebuilt.

I did some test hovers in the garage last night. New servos are awesome. Just going to wait for a decent day outside to go out and fly.

Milo, where in the UK are you? Perhaps one of us is close enought o meet up and help out with the heli?

Jonny, if you don't need the rx/tx that milo is offering I could really do with them to get my belt up and running and then sold

Gerd, of course you can have the TX/RX. You have helped me out loads (Giving me a batt and letting me borrow a gyro etc) To save Milo time and money. When I recieve the package, I will send you the TX and RX It's the least I can do.

Thanks again Milo. This will be very helpful to me and I should easily be able to get the old Belt cp up and running with all that stuff. I already have a stock TX and Rx that I will be selling with the belt cp. So giving it to Gerd will be of better use.

Thought you were actually going give up then. Glad you are going to keep trying

Scorpion 45A commander V2 ESC.
Scorpion - 8 (I maybe 6)
AR6100 or AR6100e. (The AR6200 takes up to my voltage in my opinion. And they are DSM2 which means they have a very far signal, well with small heli's you don't go very far anway so why use one. Fair enough if it came with one though) The AR6100 is DSM which is a parkflyer. Cheaper, less power thursty and just right for 450 size helicopter.

Hope this helps.

+1 but think the -6 would be overkill!!

Milo, I am about 50 or so miles from you down in Ely, Cambs. If you want to come down one weekend or evening I will gladly go over the heli with you and test with my known parts to find what is faulty before you go replacing everything. I even have a spare 45A scorpion 6s ESC that has not been used that I could sell you should you need/want it. PM me if you fancy coming down and sorting it and I will give you my contact details.

Actually the AR6100s are also DSM2. The only Spektrum receiver I've seen that's still compatible with DSM1 (as used on the DX6) is the AR6000.

And the AR6100 has been tested out to 1.7 miles, which is hardly in the parkflyer category

Mika,
Yeah, that 6100 I'm sending Chad...I've had it WAY out there on the 600 (and that's even with a suspect antennae wire that I soldered back onto the main board.

The range on those little things is incredible.

Oops ment the AR6000.

But the AR6100s are still better for small heli's. The AR6200 is too much. And if having brown outs or whatever they are called then an AR6100 wouldn't help the matter.

Milo6

What your are describing sounds to me like you need to bind the rx to the receiver.
Have you bound it?
I just recently got a new rx and when I first pluggid it in it did exactly as yours does.

It flashed a few times then the light went out because it couldnt find the tx it was bound to.

Get your bind plug and plug it in where the battery slot is.
Then get you rx battery(if you have one) OR your esc and plug it into the throttle then plug your flight battery into the esc.
Now your rx should flash, turn on your TX whilst holding the the bind button on the back.
Once your light on the rx is solid you can turn it all off and disconnect your bind plug.

Power it all back up and it should work fine.

Hope this helps.

I think he has tried re-binding a few times. But he could well be doing something wrong. Gerd lives quite near so if they could meet up Gerd would help Milo.

I just thought of something! I just got one of those $15 AVCS gyros(like Gerd lent you Jonny) in the mail yesterday, as I was looking through the instructions, I remember it saying you must initialize with the gyro in AVCS mode(HH mode) My point being my heli won't initialize if the gyro wont if you are running an AVCS/HH gyro check this and then try to rebind. Just a thought.

Milo, did you send me a stock motor aswell as everything else? If not, Mike I would really appreciate if you could send me yours. That's if you really don't need it and don't mind giving it away or selling it for cheap? Sorry if I am being rude

Hi Milo. I recieved all the stuff you sent to me in the post today. There was a lot of helpful stuff I needed in there and you have saved me a lot of money.

I have one question/favour. Your motor has big bullet connectors. Could you give me website that sells the other connctors that solder onto the ESc (Female connectors?)

Cheers.

Gerd, if you could PM me your address I will send you the TX and RX. Milo, Gerd needs the TX and RX more than me which is why I am sending them to him.
