Thanks! They're the Mikado 450 vbar swash drivers.. I bought them from readyheli because I was having a hard time finding the align version. I had the idea after reading about someone else on helifreak that found them to be the same size. They're the same price and I actually like how they look.

This way, I can bind or attach a 4-AA power pack to the receiver without having to struggle with wedging the bind plug/servo wire into the receiver through the frame.

Ken where did you purchase the battery pack? And will it work with a Spektrum AR6115?

Here you go: http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2062253

No reason it shouldn't work with a ar 6115.

Default Black Sheathing for future 450 Rex Build

I'm new to the heli world, been a plane or car guy all my life. I will be building a TRex 450 pro in the near future. I've seen a lot of you guys using a type of black sheathing to encase your wires in, what is it, where can I buy it and how much does it cost?

this is where i get my servo line wrap its pretty cheap too like $2.99 for about 2 feet which is more than enough to do a 450 you might want to get 2 kits in case you mess up it also helps to protect your servo wires from cuts chaffing and abrasions while installed in the frames

It's a relief to know I'm not the only one who is utterly anal about clean wiring.

Hello,

this is my first helicopter, HK450 + microbeast flybarless controller.

All wiring is done outside, except Quanum battery telemetry system, which is located under accu.

Malacis,

The lead to your tail servo is WAY too long without any support. The extra weight of the braid will only make matters worse. Even a smooth running heli will have a variety of vibrations at different headspeeds. I'd not be the least bit surprised to hear that cable had fallen out in flight!

Sleky,

Coiling a long servo lead to use up the excess as you've done with your tail servo is a bad idea as it result in a large unsupported mass which will either cause the cable to stress fracture at the ends (where cable tied or at gromits/connectors) or cause the connector to pull out.

You should only coil cables for a short distance to isolate gyros from vibration as shown below.

Also you have a strap very close to your gyro. If the gyro moves and taps against it in flight you'll suffer lots of tail twitching.

Steve

Excellent. TY. I guess I was trying to make it so that there was a little vibration/tugging/pulling on the gyro from the tail as much as possible. I can easily recrimp that lead, and make those wires shorter. I can add the braid easily enough. It won't cause feedback to the gyro, you think?

Sleky, what are you plugging into your battery's balance port? Telemetry voltage sensor?
