I've reviewed a couple build threads and wanted to confirm components I will need. Most importantly...do I need a receiver with the 3GX? I was planning on the AR7000, but someone told me it's not necessary. Here is what I think that I need:

700e DFC HV Kit
AR72000 receiver
6S 5000 65C lipos
Series connector for lipos
2S 2100 25 C lipo for the receiver
Connector for the receiver lipo
Swashplate level
Pitch gauge

Any recommendations are appreciated...I will sort through and pull the trigger later tonight. Thanks.
Check this thread, it was my first fbl build and it is very, very difficult. I ended up letting the lhs do it and it is a beast now. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=477817

Those videos are old and all the new HV castle esc's are fine. And yes of coarse you can use your dx6i to fly as long as you have a spektrum reciever (beastx).

Yes, technically it will work with a 6 channel transmitter.

I'd hope you have some Tarot ZYX experience before putting it on a 700 though

Man if you haven't set up a ZYX before I would recommend trying it on a smaller bird to get the hang of it first. 700 is no joke and very dangerous to say the least. Fun but dangerous.

The Ar7200bx is really easy to set up and very reliable. Everyone in our club uses them. You can get one for around
$150-$180 used on the forum. Great gyro. And you don't need a laptop to set it up. It's all done with your TX (dx6i) if you go that route and need help ill be glad to help. Also YouTube has a ton of great videos on the set up process of the beastx. Good luck
