Default IKoN flybarless controller on Blade 450 3D - any tips?

Ive acquired the new IKoN FBL stabilizer system to integrate onboard a Blade 450 fly-bared version.
A couple of issues during install and configuration have me taking pause
until I either thrash out an eventual solution, or find others who have 1st hand experience successfully installing and adjusting this new system on the Blade 450.

First off, I'm using the stock spectrum receiver with this IKoN FS in conventional form.
Anyone had good results with this combination?
If so, could you provide tips or procedures for integration?
Mainly, my puzzles revolve around the physical interconnects between servos and IKoN, and between IKoN and the receiver channels.
In particular, I'm getting brain-fade trying to verify proper plug-in sequence, 1st.
Some of the label nomenclature in the IKoN documentation doesn't follow spektrum's terminology regarding its receiver channels.
Basic information about these interconnects, real world, that can translate with the alternate terminology of the IKoN install diagrams, would be immensely helpful right about now... before taking the only other route to solution, wholesale deduction of every variable until I literally exhaust every unknown and document the results for referencing later.

Early in the initial steps, I must have missed the servo freq rate setting at a bad interval, melting parts of 3 of the servos into little electrical stink-bombs...
Well, it was a prime time to get some metal gears onto the airframe anyway, as the stock servos are considered weak, from my gathering of forum data.
I doubt I will melt another set at this point, But I do know that some info on what I seek would be a bridge across the mudhole, either way.

Default Ikon Flybarless help

Are you trying to use this with the flybarred head? Are you using the Ikon setup wizard software?
I've installed an Ikon flybarless gyro for 3 axis control on a flybarless 500 class heli, which was quite easy. I've setup using a conventional receiver and a s-bus. Just follow the instructions listed in the wizard. I don't think having cyclic gyro is a good idea on a flybarred heli. If your trying to use it as only a tail gyro I would imagine it might be possible by tweaking the gain settings using the advanced view mode. Keep in mind that all mixing is accomplished at the Ikon. The wizard can be used to confirm interactions before ever making a test flight. Using the wizard's last screen where you confirm cyclic correction, look for no correction of the swash when pitching the heli.

It won't work with a Flybar head, the flybar and FBL controller will be fighting each other.

Secondly get over and read up in the MSH Brain forum, the Brain and the Ikon are the same except for colour so you will find all the help you need there.
