Default Tgy 9x with er9x software Q's

Anyone here running CoPilot 2 with a Turnigy 9x & er9x firmware?

I want to know how to setup a switch for turning CP2 on/off.

Any tips would be great.

Cheers,

Paul

I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with that transmitter. I can answer any questions on the CPII though.

Thanks Howard,

Just got my CPII kit today. I'm sure I will have lot's of Q's.

Thinking of updating my Tx to a Hitec Aurora 9 or Spektrum DX8 as the Turnigy needs a degree in electrical engineering to operate !

Cheers,

Paul.

Not quite as bad, put my hands on it once when a misguided soul brought it to our club's field once crying for setup help, but definitely not intuitive in any way...

Thinking about it, I do have an electrical engineering degree, though

Better off getting a major brand, most people use Spektrum, myself included, so it's much easier to get help. Spek dominates the market by a far margin today, F fanatics notwithstanding.

I have had extensive experience with Both that Tx and ER9x.

one of the most modifyable.....powerful... flexible Txs with everything unleashed for real cheap .... you name it you can do it with it .... it can even talk to you now ..... with the right set up and mods done to it.

The system is hard to get your head around at first ... but once the logic flows ... you can pretty much nut anything out! ... sold it ages ago and got a DX7-se ... then a DX7s

All you need to do is assign which ever channel to the thing you are trying to arm ... and mix it with the switch..... are you trying to do it on the Tx or with Eepe? Eepe is much better as you can test your config .... prior to putting your life at risk on the Rc device.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the info.

I am trying to set 2 swicthes actually. One for simple nav lights, the other for CPII.

Just on/off.

I'm concerned about what switches that would best be used for this.

I have

Channel 1 = AIL
Channel 2 = ELE
Channel 3 = ESC/THROTTLE
Channel 4 = RUDDER
Channel 5 = GYRO GAIN
Channel 6 = PITCH
Chennel 7 = AUX
Channel 8 = AUX

Obviously channels 7 & 8 are free. But what switches on the 9x do I assign them to without interfering with other funtions?

My Gear swiitch is assigned to Gyro HH/Rate Modes.

Can I just map any other switch (besides Gear and ID0) ?

Cheers,

Minskie

yes, you can map any switch you want ... AIL DR.... ELE DR, RUD DR.

which ever switch you want.

or you can assign one of the dials to do it and have a variable control input. you want it ... it can be done.
