ICE 2 esc are now being shipped

I had to call as well as I didnt even get a recieved message except from my fedex track..

they had lost it somewhere in the office and had no record of it getting there.

I had them pull up my tracking number and my service ticket and he said he would put me right in no issues..

however... he did say they are waiting on new units..
they are flat replacing them now.. no ETA..

Okay, so I received my ICE2 today via UPS. I have to be honest that I did not think that it would come this soon. I must admit that I did call every few days for the past few weeks, as email did not pan out.

I've had a ICE 100 sitting on their shelf for a month and just sent a brand new V3 Ice 80 HV in. I called today and got the "at least 3 weeks" line. so my new Logo 600SE will be sitting on the bench for a while.

Bummer to us all!

Mine arrived today - looks just like the old version (with the bigger plastic case) on the outside.

Took two months - I sent mine to the US from the UK before the messahe came out that Europeans should send theirs to Europe!

Anyway, at my request I asked CC to mark the box as a warranty replacement hoping to avoid paying tax on something that I already owned and it worked - got through customs OK.

.......Now, I can finish my F3C.......though I do have a couple of questions......

I am going to use governor mode (I still use curves on my CC100 ice in my 600).
What mode do I choose?
What do I need to set my radio to instead of throttle curves?
How many poles in the Align motor?
What headspeeds am I looking for? - I am a 'sport' flyer
I am using Turnigy 500mAh 30-40C packs
Any other settings I need to select on the ESC via the castle link?

For fixed RPM mode you use flat throttle curves

Mode 1 = <49%
Mode 2 = >50 but < 95
Mode 3 = >95

This is covered on the CC website in their setup videos for governor and auto bailout settings.

I just found out about this recall and boy am I happy about this! I bought my 700E Super Combo kit last December and I never built it because I was scared to use the CC HV120. A few days ago I decided to just go ahead and order a Kontronik Jive HV120 and now I find out that Castle is replacing the HV120. I'm going to send mine in to get the replacement but now I have the dilemma of deciding between the Jive and ICE2. Hmmm...maybe the ICE2 will actually be worth some money now if I decide to sell it.

- Fixed RPM

- 10 poles (700MX motor, right?)

- A good starting point might be 1800 1900 2000, see which you like and go from there. 2200 is very fast, and 1600 is getting on the slow side. On CC gov mode you use throttle curves in your transmitter like this

Normal - 0, 0, 15, 30, 30, 30, 30, etc. (0s give you no spin in N mode w/stick low)
Idle1 - 70, 70, 70, etc.
Idle2 - 100, 100, etc.

Remember - the throttle setting has nothing to do with how much throttle in GOV mode - only to tell the ESC which mode you want to be in.

- Check out auto rotation enabled to see if you want that

- For sure read the documents (referenced in post above) under the support section on CC.com about calibration and setup. They are very useful, and you MUST calibrate the throttle channel in the transmitter.

Well I got my new 120 in set it up and plug it up, it's not counting cells. Is this the nor, or will I be sending my New, New ice 120 back to castle?

It will only count cells in auto lipo it will not count if you set a manual voltage.

Called Castle today. The repair department hasn't even got mine yet even though it was delivered to them(receiving dock) on 8-26. Said they would put it in line for the day it was received, but it will probably still be two to three more weeks.

It really sucks to have a brand new, built 700 hanging from the wall, that I can't fly.

Received my replacement esc today. I originally sent it in back at the end of july , I am happy to have received an ice 2. I am in no rush to put the replacement into service since I have equipped my trex 700e with a hobbywing 120 which is been going strong so far
