Default 3A to Rigid V.2

Does BD still do this upgrade?
I see it on the web site, but not the On-Line Shop

Maybe contact them via e-mail and ask them. You will need to send the unit back to Germany for it's firmware (and maybe some additional hardware) updates.

Personally I think you would be far better to simply purchase a new bd3sx unit. The Rigid version is a little outdated and bulky to install imho (I have one btw).

Did you actually use your 3A much?

Cheers,
TomC

Unless you need the optical position hold feature the 3SX will have much better overal performance.

OK, now I understand. You just want it to fly like it does with your 3A, but want to take it to flybarless, which means you need the rigid version. Anyway, as I already suggested, E-mail BD customer service and ask if this upgrade is still possible. Maybe it will be cheaper if you ask them not to upgrade the optical sensor if you do not use it anyway (who does?). Also, you may need the newer usb cable because the older one uses a serial port that not many pc's support anymore. The new usb cables that come with the 3sx work fine (~$40 though). You will need to program this using your pc to get the rigid features/settings.

I have an older Rigid version 1 (0108) in good condition that I am not using anymore (I now have 3x bd3sx units) that I would be happy to sell you for say, $US100 (paypal preferred) posted by registered airmail (which itself is prob going to cost me ~$30 of that, incl paypal fees). I'll also throw in a USB cable from one of my 3sx units. PM me if you are interested. I still think you would be better off going with a new bd3sx unit though.

Cheers,
TomC

There is a hardly to find second page in the shop, if too many articles for one page. So it's all there

http://shop.bavariandemon.com/en/index.php/accessories.html?p=2

Btw: let me point out, that for Northern America there are dealers and our distributor Danny around. So besides the upgrades, you guys from out there should make use of these options, not only because of the shipping charges to overseas! Thanks.
