Default Phoenix Sim USB cable

I have lost my USB cable to connect my controller to my laptop. I have searched on phoenix-sim.com but there are no replacement cables listed. The only support line listed is for Horizon Hobby. I am looking for a replacement or any other option.

Thanks!!!

Phoenix is a Horizon Hobbies product so those are the folks to get in touch with.

Don't be surprised if HH makes you purchase another full sim. That USB dongle houses the proprietary coding for the sim. You can duplicate the software, but without that cable you ain't flying.

I installed my old Phoenix sim again. I have the disk, the instruction sheet, the original box and the Spektrum DX5E that came with it. I have a cable that has a square plug (futaba) X female (looks like a stereo mini jack) plug.

I looks like I need a male X USB cable ? I can't find this cable. I guess I have to contact HH.

I went on the web site and found out what the cable looks like but I can't find it any where. I sent HH a email. They don't sell the main cable on the site.

Not sure exactly which cable you are talking about? I thought Spektrum just takes the 3.5mm stereo into the transmitter?

I have a cable but it‘s the square Futaba one, I no longer use it as I use SimStick.
Post the picture of what you are after and if it’s the same as what I have, you can have it.

Thank you for your offer !!!

I have the one with the square Futaba end on it.

In the picture they show a cable with a squabox in the middle a USB connector and looks like a stereo mini jack. I am missing this one.

This is HH responce.

Thank you for contacting Horizon Hobby.

The interface cable is the only form of copyright for the Phoenix Simulator. At this time a new system would need to be purchased. Thank you for your recent contact with Horizon Hobby.

If I want it I will have to buy a new Phoenix simulator. Since I bought it from HH you think they could sell the original purchaser a new cable.

That dongle is the copy protection for Phoenix, that is the part that cost the money.

Yes you will have to buy Phoenix again, or you look on the classifieds for a second hand Phoenix Sim.

I would just on ebay, craigslist, etc. for a cable or an old ver. of Phoenix w/cable. Pretty sure they are all the same.
