Default CC bec issues

I just finished a Goblin 500 sport. I have a 3x , CC edge 100 ESC with 5 a Bec. BK500 HV servos and 700HV on tail. DSMX sat receivcer DX18 trans. 6S 3300 mah Pluse batteries.

The problem I have is when I use the BEC on the CC the cyclic servos will bounce up and down every three seconds or so. The orange light on the 3x will flash at the same time the servos bounce. When I use a 2 cell lipo pack to power the problem goes away. The problem happens on the bench with no blades on the heli, ( very little load on the servos). The voltage on the bec was set to 7.0V then 6.5V and 8.4V does not make any difference.

Is this a problem with the esc /bec or the BD3x or do I just need to run an external battery back, I was hoping to save the weight a second battery and /or switch.

I will fly this heli when I get this problem fixed.

The internal Bec of the CC 100 is not sufficient. You can use an external bec like a WR Hurc' or BecPro if you dont want to use an Rx pack. Same result with either- all your issues will disappear.

somewhere on the CC website, they tell you not to use the internal BEC's (unless its a Talon model) on anything bigger than a 500. Yet you have a 500 so it should be ok if marginal, right? Well you are using "Sats-only" and as documented endless times, that introduces extra voltage sensitivity. So either get a Talon model ESC (set to 6V or more) which basically has, the BEC Pro build in, add a BEC pro (set to 6V or more), or just use an RX battery. LiFe is good and will work on most 6V servos.

I had used one on my T-rex 500 and had no problems but that had the AR7200BX so I thought it would work. The BD seams to be a bit more selective. Second battery pack it is.

Thanks for the input.

probably only with "Sats-only". Just to be sure, you didn't say what battery pack you plan. 2S LiFe or Lipo are fine. Even 5S NiMh. Just do not consider 4S NiMh.
