Default what are you using to supply power to your power lab 8?

So I have been trolling around on the forum for some time. Lots of info out there.. I thought I would just ask for my specific plan..

Iv started to research for an up graded charging station.. I'm thinking of going with the power lab 8 and adding the new bump station. The one thing I keep waffling on is the power supply..
Iv been looking at the:
1. Revolectrix 24v power station
2. 24 v. Juice box
3. Chargery s1200( Hurd it doesn't play well with PL8?)

Reviews from those that have experience with any of those, comments or opinions

Ps. Charging 6s packs.

Thanks for your time!
Jeff

I had a FMA (but no iCharger).. same difference for power.

Typically today dual deep cycles... for fast field charging (only need one battery per heli) but for home use feathermerchant PSUs (24v47A).. excellent high end server power supplies.

There are so many options to power your charger from deep cycle batteries to purpose built power supplies. I use a pair of Dell 6650 server power supplies hooked up in series for 24V. These are a little bigger and heavier than some others but they are factory ground isolated and fan temperature controlled so they are very quiet. Use these to power a pair of PL8 chargers. These PSUs put out 70 amps. Another popular server power supply is the HP DPS-1200FB, these require one of the PSUs to be ground isolated but is very easy to do.
Match up your charger with an adequate power supply and you will be happiest.

Great choice on the charger.

For a great PSU to go with it, I'd suggest: http://www.progressiverc.com/mean-we...er-supply.html

If you really want to max out your charging capability (and not need to upgrade for a very long time), I'd go with the Dual Power Lab and: http://www.progressiverc.com/mean-we...er-supply.html

These Meanwell's are probably the lightest weight and slimmest size you can get in this power range. They fit easily in the bottom of a charge case.

Meanwells are really nice, but you pay for them. I'd also check out onlyfinehelis.com and look at the tdk lambda options they have.

Totally agree. Really well built, very small for the power they produce, but more expensive than many other options.
