Default OSD Info from Align APS and DJI Naza

Hi everyone

I've been flying around with an Align 550 with an APS system and a quad running a DJI Naza with GPS

Both of these unit can do a return to home self levelling and hold, therefore must contain all the information an osd unit needs to display positional information

Has any one worked out the wiring on these units and developed a cable to interrogate the units for the information. I have seem some items on the web showing a unit that works with the DJI, but this involves opening up the GPS and soldering onto an internal board and I don't fancy such intricate soldering since for me this kind of soldering doesn't always work well

Instead of hacking something, why not just get this?

I don't believe that works with Naza sl4ppy, only Wookong and Ace one.

to answer the OP, yes there are a few people that have done this. If you google Naza OSD you should turn up some hits... I believe there was a thread on rcgroups about one such system.

I've had at look at the DJI OSD and it isn't currently capable of interfacing with the NAZA unit you’d need a WKM or similar high spec unit to make the interface work.

Maybe it's one to speak to DJI about directly and see if they are planning to launch something in the near future before attempting any home spun soldering efforts.

Ahh that sux.

I suspect its just a firmware change.. perhaps enough user demand would encourage them to make the update?

Doubtful, they seem to like to artificially differentiate and protect their more expensive product lines.

Feel free to try however lol.

Later NAZA V1 can also be upgraded using PMU V2 and s...upport Gopro Zenmuse, iOSD and Bluetooth module..

Main Controller
The hardware structure has been optimized and the scalability and performance of the flight control system has been enhanced
Independent LED Module

What’s new with the NAZA V2 : Firmware and functions
- New attitude stabilization algorithm, provides better flight performance / maneuverability;
- New flight control performance, provides better flight experience; (flight control is smoother, take-off is easier, and solved the swinging problem when descending at high speed.)
- Support for Octo-rotor;
- One-motor stopped still can land safely (Hexa-rotor, Octo-rotor)

Interesting, thanks for posting.

Nope no idea. I would imagine "soon" since a small group of folks are testing it.
