Default Kosmik Head Speed question

I have a question regarding anticipated head speed vs. observed head speed in LogView.

According to a head speed calculator at 82% throttle I should be around 1850 rpm. However, if you look at the attached log my head speed is consistently somewhere between 1700 and 1750 rpm.

Which one do I believe, Logview or calculator?

If Logview is correct and my objective is to get around 1850 rpm what is recommended? Up a tooth on the pinion?

Set up is as follows
Minicopter Diabolo
Kosmik 160a
14s (the above log was with TP 4400 45c lipos)
Xnova XTS 4530-480
16t pinion
Auto timing

seeing as your pwm looks pretty good i would go up a percent or 2 on the throttle curve, you have a little head room left if that is your typical flying style. if that was just hovering then i would say go up a pinion.

log view is the actual head speed. as long as the gear ratio and pole count are correct in your ini file. calculators will never be 100% acurate. they can get you in the ball park but not exact.

Thanks for the input. I'll up the curve a bit and see what those logs look like.

The gear ratio and pole count are correct. I created a custom .ini file for my diabolo setup.

Thanks again,

Chad

Logview is correct. The head speed calculators are an approximation. I'd go up a tooth on the pinion. Your PWM looks good.
