Hey _Rob, you might want to try www.nyblimp.com for finding the right diameter carbon tube. I bought some stuff from this guy a while ago and the prices were pretty OK with decent quality priced in 36" lengths.

There's two pages, click the arrow at the bottom of the page for more parts.

I've ordered from Hobby People and these guys:

http://store.xtremercproducts.com/

I ordered two sets of gears from them on Monday and they arrived Thursday (from Hawaii). Hobby People took two weeks - and not because the items were out of stock. They were just that slow.

Odd indeed. It took a full week to get a confirmation of the order and then another full week for it to arrive. May have been a glitch, who knows...

I emailed customer service about it and wasn't impressed by the response (ie: lack of one) so I decided to take my business elsewhere. Different people have differenct experiences, I guess.

I've always gotten great service from HeliHobby, but they repeatedly get blasted for lousy service.

I just need a vendor with the parts, and the ability to get them to me. The only people I'm loyal to, if they carry the product, are my 2 local dealers. I have 1 for plane stuff and 1 for heli stuff.

Just for a speed check, I ordered these parts from Hobby People on Thursday afternoon and they showed up this afternoon.. (Whew, I thought the 4th was going to be boring).

Okay well here's a few short clips of me trying to destroy the Zoom, the tail is popping out of heading hold in loops and flips and if I crank the gain any more the tail wags pretty bad. I'm gonna try putting the servo on the tail this evening to eliminate linkage slop as a possible cause.
