Sensor and main until updated to V3.0

Using 700 default settings with the dials back to 12.00 o'clock.

My sensor has been modded previously so will be interesting to see what this works like.

Never did get rid of that random twitch and a very very slight wag with the old set up.

Do you need to do the DIR setup routine again after updating the firmware?

Hi i have started with total stock settings again. well except lower the tail lock gain alittle. Although i think lowering it more i could rasie the gain alittle donno need to mess with that tomorow. As far as cyclic I was prevoiusly on 10 oclock gain with 2.1 but now after another little hover in my shed (as it went dark before my battery charged...im in england ya see) its at 12 and it is deffinatly more stable in hover. and i did crazy stick movements which before v3 at 12 would have caused oscillation on the stop but not now... I will do more messing in the light tomorrow and let you know my final settings and verdict on it. So far im so impressed and have high expectations for 3D tomorrow!

Just another question, do you just connect the usb adapter to the Y lead the same as you would when accessing/modifying your settings, the only reason i ask is that i seem to remember that the update to v2.1 reqiured you to update the sensor and main unit individually, although my own unit came as version 2.1

You can use the y cable but you do have to do it separately yes. It will giude you through it on screen though. It is really simple trust me sensor first then unit is how it does it

Keep us updated as to if you also try my settings alongside the V3 firmware.
.
I updated the firmware in both my 450's and then checked and confirmed that it still had your settings. Because the update mentioned that the tail control was improved, I increased the tail gain from 40 to 50.

I'm no test pilot, but could tell that it felt more locked in, and the tail control is crisper with absolutely no sign of wag.

I need to check again, but I thought I saw some cyclic wobble on rapid vertical descents on the 450 Sport.

I currently fly my 550 with a modded 3G on 2.1 never had any tail blowouts, nor tailwag or anything bad with Leon Lukes settings...
I might wait a bit to see what everyone else says. i.e. "Never change a running system"

Do you loose all settings when u update?

You need a program that will open a rar file. I used stuffit2010. Downloaded the free version and it opened it right up.

Anybody else having issues with the aileron/elevator gains on settings display?
Using Aileron/Elevator Total Gain Compensate value 50 and with both pots at 12 o'clock I get a value of 169 out of 200 in settings display screen. If i move the pots slightly clockwise, I reach the maximum of 200 and further turning of the pots doesn't change anything.

Is this a software issue or bad firmware?

Yes, I have the same issue. My pots are at 12 o'clock and in the software 200 is displayed. But it flies .
I think this is ab BUG in the software. My Rex flies very fine with both pots at 12 o'clock, so don't worry.

bye

Ok I decided to put in Coolices settings this morning. First thing i noticed is you use much slower cyclic so had to speed that up. I left gains at 12 o clock, You have you tail gain lower in 3G settings so now in my transmitter i have to run 89% on a DX6I so that is what like 80 % gain? I started at 79% on the dx6i and the tail blew stright out so went to 85 tail still blew out on backwards flight got to 89 and the tail held a medium speed backwards flight when i charge the battery i will go up alittle more although i think it will wag. Have to say though the Cyclic did not wobble once it was perfect! And the tail just needs more gain i think
Battery on a fast charge rate will be back up in an hour to give you more.

P.s it is really windy in england so that carnt be helping i just hope it stay like this and doesn't get worse or i carnt fly
