Do we need to bring our own power source to charge?

Strongly suggested as this event is held in a cow pasture...unless you have a buddy you can charge with.

Only a week away now. Mother Nature is giving us some more cool temps today, in the high 40's. But suppose to warm up about 20 degs for the next few days.
Yes you will need to bring your own power source for charging batteries. As Dude said, the field is actually located in a hay field/cow pasture, thou the land owner does not keep cows on it much anymore. Here is the weather forecast for Friday the 14th and Saturday the 15th. Temps are little cooler than we have had last couple of years. But still should be comfortable. As long as it is sunny, it will be nice.

Sat

The Zip Code for the field is 35022
The GPS coordinates are N 33deg. 19.512’ W 086 deg. 57.155’

Looking forward to start seeing the early arrivals around Wednesday.

About to head out to field to set up flight line and pit area for the event next weekend.
Weather has been great here this weekend. Looks like it is going to continue thru this week and into next weekend. May not be shorts and t shirt weather for some. But should be nice and comfortable. Birmingham Helicopter Modelers are excited about the event and looking forward to seeing some friends that have been here in the past and also meeting some new friends for the first time. Here is what the next 7 day forecast looks like.

So you do mean power to charge. Yea, you can charge at the Compass tent all you want. No need to pay anything.

Tuscaloosa native here. Will be there Saturday evening. My only regret from last year was letting Jason sell that P51 ride for $100! I would've paid that! I cussed him all the way home.
