Default swash servo wizzard in sk-720be

In the new firmware how do you properly adjust the swash plate for level. I ninety the servos and adjust for zero pitch at half stick. At full negative and full positive the swash is not level. How do you adjust to get a level swash in the full throw of collective ie negative to positive.

Are you observing this change of swash level while connected up the wizards or during normal power up?

Its important, as when powered normally the swash has collective pre comp added in to keep the nose level during ascent and descent, so the elevator tilt is normal as you move the collective up and down. Its the same feature that causes the tail blades to move when move the collective.

This stops while in setup mode, so you can adjust for level mechanically while connected using the swash links, or by adjusting the swash servo values in the software

=] use the software + for high collective swash levelling, and - for low collective, any mechanical changes will throw the mid range out, but you mustn't be fooled when in flight mode as Tony advises...

access the advanced settings in the preferences tab =

Thanks for the correction Georgi, and you are correct. I was thinking more about adjusting mechanically to get the swash level at zero pitch, but any mechanical adjustment high or low of that would throw the mid stick level adjustment you made off, so yes software correction for that particular issue.

OK let me see if I understand you correctly. I am in the swash wizard. I first go to mid stick. Fifty in, fifty out. In the swash wizard I 90 the servos as best I can. I do have a leveler. I than level the swash plate by adjusting the three pushrods mechanically. I than adjust the blades for zero pitch mechanically while still at half stick. I than set my high pitch and low pitch by the wizard. I am using twelve degrees. Now I go to high pitch and adjust the three servos for level swash plate by using the + servo trim for high pitch and - servo trim for low pitch. Did I get it right? Thank you very much.

=] read back sounds correct,

set mid Tx stick 0-100 linear travel

90 the servo's

adjust the linkage for a zero level swash

zero the blade grips

set the collective and cyclic range

advanced settings, full positive coll swash level in the SW +

full negative coll swash level in the SW -

set the normal Tx pitch curve with -3 deg (don't want -12 deg on start up)

set the hold Tx pitch curve to match the normal curve

done!
