I'm hoping for a good Black Friday deal some where, so I can get one!

^ Nice one man, you'll have it no time. What do you plan in terms of setup?

Got mine home and opened. Looking great so far!

The new MKS 95 micro servo looks wicked. Best specs yet that I've seen.

Just curious if anyone else was thinking if buying the barebones kit? I feel like I've got enough 325mm equipment laying around, but not sure how the fit of my 2221-8 motor, and HS-65mg servos will work out.

My guess they will be fine in terms of fit, since the MSH is a scorpion and MSH supplied those nifty servo shims with the 'big' Protos.

Your 2221-8 motor won't work, because the Kv is much too high. I bet the servos will though.

I bought the barebones kit because of the stuff I already had around. Mine is about 1/2 built. I am using HS-5065MG servos (already installed and fit perfectly) with Total-G, which is also already installed and fits fine on the bottom frame. FBL head is done and installed. About to start on tailboom. I'll be running a S9257 on the tail.

I have a -10 and -12 motor. The kit comes with a 16t pinion which is ideal on 3S for the -12 motor but I also ordered the 14t pinion in case I decide to use the -10 motor. I'll be flying it with Hyperion 3S 2600 batteries. I personally like the CC ICE ESC very much and find no issues with the governor mode, so my ESC will be the CC ICE Lite 50. I'll be trying a variety of blades, but personally like the Edge FBL blades which are the likely choice for this helil All of these are reasons I bought the barebones kit.

So far it is a fabulous kit to build, just as the bigger Protos of which I have built 3. Corrado is to be complimented for the very high quality of the kit and manual.

Just as a sidebar, I have just completed a MA Furion 450 which had been sitting here waiting to be built for a while. MA kits are highly regarded for their quality and I have to say the MSH helis are at least as high of quality. The Furion came with button head hex bolts which are much too easy to strip the heads out of, IMHO. The Protos has regular hex bolts, which I like much better.
