Default Where to find replacement pin flag?

I have somehow lost my pin flag from my Gryphon BEC, and it appears this cannot be bought on its own anywhere, even from the Gryphon site itself.

Do I seriously have to buy the entire switch unit just to get a replacement flag at a cost of $27 after shipping to the U.S.?

Good question. I have that BEC too. I might need to buy a spare flag in case I lose mine.

Zero response at all from Gryphon from any communications means. I also contacted Heli Direct where I originally purchased my Gryphon BEC and pin flag switch hoping to get one locally, and they have dropped them and no longer carry their products.

The only one other U.S. based company that carried them is now also showing out of stock on every Gryphon product, so it appears they have been dumped for whatever reason by the very few U.S. suppliers they had.

I haven't had any issues at all with the product so far, but the fact that no one in the U.S, stocks them anymore, and even more so the fact that they themselves cant even be bothered to reply to their very own website contact us link or email means I will pull their product from my heli and go elsewhere for a product that can be properly supported after the sale.

I'm not paying top dollar for the same communication and service I would expect from Hobby King or any other low budget Asian product and supplier.

No I haven't as of now. I'm deciding whether I want to even bother anyone with it at the moment, and just replace it with a Scott Grey Reactor, or simpler yet just switch out to a 2S lipo pack since all of the equipment on the heli is rated for HV anyway.

I really like the way the SGR acts as a power buss, and can separate the servos power from my FBL unit at different voltages, and it also has a safety power switch included with it, and best of all was designed and is supported by a fellow modeler, not some company thousands of miles away with no way to contact anyone.

As stated, my Gryphon has performed flawlessly for two years now, but I'm worried that no one is carrying their products or supporting them anymore.

I'm sorry to see that you won't use gryphon anymore.

But it's in the same time as bit frustrating that you can't get it in your area.

Any ideas why the hobby shops won't sell gryphon products in us?

Not sure. Heli Direct used to have their products, and didn't tell me why they decided to drop them when I emailed them. Only that they no longer carry the items.

I had a change of heart and went ahead and ordered another flag and switch from Gryphon for the moment since I really wasnt thrilled with having to redo the wiring to remove the BEC.

My only shipping option was $15 EMS for a $12 complete switch assembly (which I really didn't need) just to get the flag, so I hedged my bet even more and ordered two since the shipping was the same either way.

At least this way I have 2 spare switches and flags for $39, and this will hopefully keep me going for a while

Okay. I'm glad to hear you found a solution.

Else i had one you could have got.

Buy shipping from Europe is as cost full as from Asia. So its same same :-)

Hope your new one will hold up longer that your old.

Best regards
