AMA card

Finally registered with AMA so that I could fly at real fields- this is my first time. The email they sent said my card would come in 'a couple weeks'.

Realistically, how long should I expect to wait? I supposed I can't fly at fields requiring AMA until I get the card.

Pretty sure they e-mail you a temporary thing that you can print out until your real one shows up

A printout of your paid membership email will suffice for any AMA club...they'll just do a lookup on the number and see you are a member...no problem, fly at your whim

Did you sign up online on their website? If you did, the confirmation screen is your temporary card. Just print it out and it's good for 30 days. It also has your membership number.

You will get your card before then.

I signed up on the website. I got an email but the number says 'Pending'. Maybe I'll get another email once my application goes through? No idea.

Did you at least see your AMA number on the screen or in an email? You can go here and enter your info and print the verification.

Nope, it said "pending" on both. Maybe because It's a first time membership ?
