Question Tail boom servo mount

Hey freinds,
Anyone else get the new boom mounted servo mount that comes with the CF kit ?
If anyone can post pics of how you mounted it with the servo to end up in the right position to run the pushrod threw the the guide hole on the servo bracket & meet up with the servo horn, I would greatly appreciate it. Maybe using a spacer on the mounting screws would do it. What do you think.
Happy Holiday's everyone,
Dave.

I am in the same boat as you with a tail mounted servo. I am not sure what the right way to do it is but so far the easiest way I have heard is to use a small CF rodd with all thread glued in the ends and ball links on both sides.

I haven't tried teh boom mount.

But on other helis, I just keep trying different orientations. And in some cases mount the servo "upside down" in the mount, ie the top of the servo tabs against the mount.

just remember if you mount the servo "upside down" to check and see if you need to reverse that servo. i learned that the hard way on my mx450.

Default my rudder servo

i mounded mine like this. i did not use rod guide on the mount itself, as it was causing all kinds of binding. had to make a rod bend to get straight shot. it works great, real solid. peace, randy.

yeah this so called "CNC Tailboom servo mount" was so clearly rushed out using the standard plastic horizontal fin/boom support mounts!!!! and a flat bar of some metal, hardly what i was expecting of a "CNC Tailboom Servo Mount"!

hopefully someone will release a better thought out version that is properly "CNC"! similar to this one but sized for the H550 and with some thought for servo position using a futaba S9254 or JR 8900G

You should be able to use tail servo mounts for Hirobo Shuttle/Sceadu helis as they also use a 21mm boom.

Also for the Quick of Japan EP8/10 helis.
