Default Success.....sort of.

Finally had a successful hover with "enough" positive pitch. There is still a lot more negative, but at least I have zero pitch at mid stick.

It's real snappy and instant response in the negative, but when I pin the throttle, the positive is not nearly as responsive.

So, now what can I do to get more "authority" or throw on the positive side?

What are your throttle/pitch settings?
And your swash mix settings?

I don't remember what my pitch throttle is on mine, I'd try first dropping your pitch down say 36/45/55//75/100
That's really something you have to fiddle with to what's comfortable for you, Throttle I'd try something along the same lines.
You can try bumping the pitch down a little more on the swash mix maybe go to say-40 see what that does first....but either way try one or the other first, then adjust from there.. Be careful though and don't make drastic adjustments....this is tedious but important to do...

I think that's where I got my settings from. How do you like it like that? Not sure what kind of flying you do.

Let it hang straight down, blades both evenly forward you'll see when you move stick to middle position. You'll see them uneven adjust the links up or down evenly, check and adjust up or down whichever is needed.

Also check settings on throttle pitch, this will cause it to not lift good also.
Yah, sorry I saw that after I posted the reply.

I did change my throttle on stunt 100% flat. I fly 8s, small cercurls.no 3d, I do find it jumpy, I like my 450 3d much better, more stable.

I pretty much have mine somewhere around what's in SR bible, but have fiddled a bit with em, the way mine come up is nice and smooth, as well as landings....I think that a different pitch setting in your swash mix is where you'll get more hot rod type movement out of it...

strbobber here is what settings I have on my SR:
Throttle: 0/42/55/75/100
Pitch: 36/46/55/74/100
Stunt: 0/25/50/75/100
Throttle in stunt bout same as yours
My swash mix is
Aile:+60
Elev:+60
Pitch:-36
Those can be different from heli to heli, but try
What I have set up first, and go from there.
Mine comes up really nice and easy, and in idol1
Is nice and powerful.

On the SR the pitch is controlled by the trailing edge of the blades which means when you raise the throttle the swash moves down. So when the swash moves down it gives more positive pitch. This also means that at mid stick if the swash is closer to the bottom of the shaft you will have more negative pitch than positive pitch. If you lower the swash while at mid stick, as the OP did, you will end up with even more negative pitch. On the SR low stick the swash should be at the top of the shaft, mid stick swash should be centered and high stick swash should be at the bottom of the shaft. If not, adjust accordingly so you have even positive and negative pitch. At mid stick you want the swash as close to center as possible.
