Hi,

Futaba 14MZ is region coded. It is possible to change region code with correct software tools (I have done it), from for example US to Europe region code. You need to use a transmitter module TM-14 for Europe when a change to Europe region is made in such case. The receivers are not region coded so you can buy them anywhere in the world.
In US they have two base versions of 14MZ: T14MZHP (helicopter) and T14MZAP (airplane). But basically they are the same. You probably will get another problem if you import from US to Europe: Futaba service center in Your country will probably only service a Futaba 14MZ that has been bought in Europe with region code Europe - I'm hope I'm wrong about that but be prepared it could be this way.
I'm not sure when you take into account shipping cost and customs it will be so much cheaper to import a 14MZ from US to your country. Maybe easiest to buy a 14MZ from someone in Europe after all.

Good luck,
Bo

Hi,

Money. Futaba make more money that way. They obviously do not want You to buy a 14MZ in another part of the world where it might be cheaper for You as customer. Futaba has devided the world in segments and You need to pay a price for this. It is not really a world market for these high end Futaba transmiters. You can change region code but it is not meant You do it as a normal consumer. Note that it is only the high end Futaba transmitters and transmitter modules that has this region code thing. I like Futaba gear but this region code thing is not a nice thing for us customers. If You dislike it try other brands instead.

Terra, I use a European 14MZ with a US 2,4 module. To do that I changed the region code on the radio. That is fairly easy with the right procedure. Receivers are not coded, I use both US and EU receivers.

FYI: Many clubs in the EU expect you to have CE marked equipment (required by insurance) - you might check if this brings you into jeopardy. A US Tx is usually not CE marked.

Hi,
So You want to adjust stick tension and the tilt of the sticks?

I have done both things and it is actually described in the 14 MZ Instruction manual.
