Default Canopy toich up paint?

I took my 550 to work with me today, and it slipped from my hands, due to having waxed the blades and canopy, hitting a pavement step nose first. Only paint damage, the nose actually the least of the damage. I guess the shock travelled and cracked some paint above the window, and somehow paint broke off right near the area bowed out for the elevstor linkage. I was really pissed off, as I had just polished the canopy and it was pristine other than the window decal not being perfect. Is there any way to touch up these areas, rather than a decal over the damage or something. I don't know what paint works, I suppose I could brush on some varnish over the color.

It is gel coat so you can touch it up with that and then sand and polish it to match the surface

So this is the same as fiberglass boat gel coating? I'd need the base coat and a gel coat, or is it combined? Would I need to go to an automotive paint shop for this to get color matching? I know little about automotive paints, or fiberglass gel costs.

I got the idea for using fingernail polish for touch ups here on HF.There are infinite colors for matching what you have..
I felt kinda weird in the cosmetics section of Walgreens carrying my canopy around, until a guy with a Batman mask showed up looking for make-up.

So you bought a bunch and mixed the colors to match or found one that did match? Does it seal well (found out there is a slight crack in just the paint on the side of the canopy, not chipping, but maybe the nail polish can bind it well enough.
