@Dflyer, I'm running a 10 tooth pinion and on my DX7 St -2 throttle setting is 67 % and HS seem to be around 2900 I haven't tach'd it yet. But changing timimg to 18° will my HS increase a lot?

Sent from my EVO, cause I can't reach the PC

Short question

What value's should i use for the stock atom 500 motor?

I've got a new hobbywing platinum v3 100a esc.

I'm flying with a stretcht atom, stock motor and 10t pinion and like headspeeds

So i'm not shure with frequency and timing degrees i should take.

Anyone suggestions?

I've used now 18 degrees timing and 16khz pwm frequency.

With the stock motor it doesn't get much better than that, so you're pretty much right on the money. You *can* do 22.2° timing, but honestly it's just wasted heat for not enough of a power gain at that point. Unless you're flying in really cold weather, you're better off getting a bigger/stronger motor (ie - 6HV canister, or running HV) and keeping the timing a little lower if you need that kind of stupidity! (pardon the pun!)

I've seriously considered putting an 8S-12S setup on my Atom since I'll pretty much have the stuff on hand to do it once I switch out the ESC. I'm loving the HW PP3 50 on my 450 right now, so I can imagine the 100A is really nice too (although I can't remember if it's HV or just up to 6S/8S). I have an HV 85 and an extra 70HV sitting around either way. It just might be a winter project if I run out of stuff to do around the house.

"if I run out of stuff to do around the house."

Please let me know how to do this, Tim.

I seem to be busier with household cr@p than I ever was before!

Hahaha! I bet. We got a lawn tractor to help around the yard and boy, is it ever paying dividends already! Mulching up the leaves and getting the yard cleaned up is the first chore in my life that I can truly say was nothing but fun. The kiddos like jumping on and going for a ride too, so, double the awesome because I get to spend some time with them as well.
