Default Capacity Cut for different mAh packs...

Had an idea that K maybe could implement.
Discussing with another flyer about using the cap cutoff with different size packs I had an idea.

Could a module be created for Jive Pro and Kosmik that is an RFID reader so the ESC
knows which pack and consequently which capacity cutoff to use by scanning an RFID tag on your various packs?
This way you could have say 12S 5000 packs and 14S 4400 for the same machine and still be able to utilize cap cut off every flight.

Does J-Pro/Kos have the processing power and memory available to implement this?

Hmm, great idea! That sounds just exactly like what Mikado is doing, called VBar Control. Except instead of slowing the RPM, it speaks to you telling the capacity limit percentage used right from the radio...

No that is just telemetry, which the Kontronik ESC's already report. It can tell you what the capacity used is but not actually perform a slow down.

I don't think this is out of the realm of possibility but the problem becomes that you would basically be reprogramming the capacity limit every flight and say you forgot to scan it before flight and relied on it to slow down you could kill a pack.

Could have the scanner mounted where pack mounts and it would pick up when you load in the pack.

Could also have the unit not arm until pack has been scanned.
Maybe pass it up the chain and see what the K guy's say Richard.

That actually would be pretty cool. I swap different packs all the time and this would save me a lot of time

Nice idea but in reality i cant see it being sold much. Out of myself and friends and probably 20 kosmiks and even forgetting kosmik i dont know anyone really that would use different lipos

Firstly kontronik and mikado need to work on telemetry together
