Thanks and will do bud!

However, will not be flying either of them till these below freezing temperatures are over. I don't really want to be another boom backing out victim!

Heres wishing you and the family a very Merry Christmas Doooood!

where are you vstabi users mounting your system. I ordered the mini v 5.0 and as with my x5 it's not here yet. Is the best place inbetween the frames, on the bottom plate towards the back? Or maybe, if it's small enough, it can go inbetween the frames on top of the TT plate. Or is that too close o the TT shaft?

I use the standard vbar with seperate sensor only because it gives me more mounting options should I decide to move it to another ship. I believe you would be fine to mount it either on the back of the boom block or inside. It might be more protected inside the frame. Either way it will overhang the sides of the frame. It is juast a bit wider than the frame.

kdfi, i have my mini-v mounted on the lower tray inside the frames. Is about 1-2 mm wider than the frames themselves. One point to watch for... make sure you can plug the USB cable in when mounted. I offset the mini-v to one side slightly to accomodate and took a little off the side of the usb plug(cable) itself to make it easier. Can also use a straight plug but have to thread through the frames when doing so.Just make sure the mini-v is straight with the frame sides. My understanding is that it doesn't matter if it's not centred.

VAS,

Do you have the Blue 5.0 vbar? How do you like it?

I use vbar 5.0 in a std black and the bluline units. Functionality is identical. The bluline series is a bit more resistant to vibration but that's about it.

Hi Vas,

I have only this one (version 4.0) Actually this is my first und only vbar. That's why I can't say anything on this

Accessing the usb port is not that easy but not too hard either... I just need to bend the cable to access that's all.

mines in virtually the same spot as Centurions. Can access with a bit of fiddling on the cable.

The blue mini-v is my first FBL and for me has been terrific. Simple to set up and flies awesome.

As terrabit said... the v4 ones can be upgraded to v5 and is just the sensors that are different and a bit better in regards to vibration. From what i understand, the software from v4 to v5 has made a more connected feel and seem alot recommend the upgrade.
Either way, they fly awesome and i'm kicking myself for not trying earlier

the " pro " version has even more features. All depends on how much you enjoy fiddling and how many options .

One thing to point out to people....... disable your trims on the TX!!!!!!!! Don't want to be bumping them and making the vbar think different settings.

I've been using vbar since 2006. Back then it was a totally different game. It's much easier to setup now and it actually works better too. I've probably setup a dozen different birds with vbar including the ones that weren't mine.

5.0 pro gives you access to the spectrum analyzer and offer a higher level of programmability.

My BeastX setup on my X5 FES.

Going to consider redirecting the yellow signal wires back through the frame or maybe bind them in the middle a little away from the Beast and have them connected to the frame. Will play aorund a bit.

Overall very pleased with the setup, was almost plug and play, pretty much went from the start of the manual to the back and it was all done
