Default Finally did it. 720 Blue to 720BE.

I've been on the post about replacing my 720 Blue with a 720 BE for over a month now. I'm not sure if it's going to do any good for me since I haven't really found much in the way of evidence. I'm going to post the results in the difference between the two as used in 3D flight with a bailout after I get the 720BE.

These are supposed to be in stock next Wednesday. I hope to have it within a few weeks and expect results shortly after.

I took advantage of the upgrade from skookum on one of mine.

I am not sure how long it will take but I hope they are mailed out soon!

I'm impressed. The BE flies extremely crisp compared to my two blues. The tail is also rock solid.

I'm wondering if there might be a problem with the blues or if the BE just flies that much better.

I'm also wondering how the 540 flies compared to the BE.

The black really does fly that much better.
Had the blues and I also have the 540, and the black is still much better. Since going with blacks, my 540 just gathers dust. I look at it this way, if I can tell, and I am no pro 3d guy by any means. Just an old duffer really banging away at the sticks. Then any real talented guy would or should really see the difference much better than myself.

Georgi? What do you think here?

I had a couple of 720 blues before but then was away from the hobby when the BE came out. Now I'm in a situation where my hobby budget precludes getting a BE and I'm setting up a 450 with a 540 clear. I'm wondering how I'm going to like the way the 540 flies compared to my old 720 Blues. I never got around to using the self level with success on the 720 so that won't be anything I'll miss. I remember feeling like the heli was on rails back when I had my 720 blue and I felt it made me a better pilot but that was using my experience with conventional flybars as a comparison.
Regards,
Michael

I've never flown a 540, but I've heard they fly a bit better than the 720 blues since they have two sets of MEMS gyroscopes. The 720 BE has the newer ring sensor (aka pinpoint gyro). The normal MEMS gyro is basically a vibrating tuning fork. The pinpoint gyro is a type of MEMS gyroscope and is basically an oscillating ring. The ring design is much more accurate in vibration prone environments from what I understand.

The 720 BE flies amazingly. It actually feels more locked in than the simulator does.
After that I like the 720 Blue, but the tail was never perfect on it. It feels a lot like me sim does.
After that I like the Vbars, the tail seems to hold better in some circumstances, but I don't like how the cyclic feels. It's not bad though.
After that would be the 3GX. They work, but they don't feel right. Better than flybar at least.

My love for the early Vbar, is what led me to Skookum's 720 early on. Although I had one of the very early Sk360s when fbl systems were first hitting the market. Still have that and plan on using it one day soon!
